Latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10576 Microsoft Edge Support Miracast and DLNA
Almost
all the latest computers and laptops come with a Miracast and DLNA feature
support, however, it is supported only if you are running on Windows 8.1
or Windows 10. To be able to mirror the screen on a third-party device,
you need to make sure that the source as well as the receiver have
Miracast support. If the manufacturer of the third-party device has
mentioned that the device supports wireless display, then you can be
rest assured of the Miracast compatibility with the device.
DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance, the trade group founded by Sony in 2003.The DLNA defines standards that enable devices to share stuff - photos, video, music - with each other, and it has more than 200 members responsible for more than 9,000 different DLNA devices.
DLNA hardware is designed to work on a home network. It doesn't matter whether that network is wired or wireless, although with Wi-Fi you'll need to ensure that your network has sufficient bandwidth for what you want to do. We'd recommend 802.11n Wi-Fi for serious home sharing.
Windows 8.1 was launched with a lot of new features and one of them was the support for the Miracast Wireless Display which lets you mirror the display of your computer on a third-party device supporting the Miracast feature. The third-party device can be a projector, a TV set or a media streaming device.

Miracast is a wireless display standard designed for mirroring a smartphone, tablet, or PC’s screen to a television without requiring any physical HDMI cables. It’s becoming more widespread with each passing day.
On Windows 10, the project option can directly be accessed by pressing the Window + P keys together.
If your computer supports the Miracast display, then you will see an option as Add a wireless display. Click on the option and it will start searching for the new displays which are available in the given range. Once you see the desired device on the search results, click on the device name.
Windows will now install the required drivers on the device and within a few seconds you will see the third part display displaying your device.
Once you are done with the task and you want to disconnect the device, you can do so by either disabling the Mirror feature on your projector or TV or you can do the same from your computer by going to the project screen (Windows + P) and clicking on the disconnect option.
Well, that’s all in this tutorial, features like this come in very handy when you have a need and this is another such feature which is very useful at times.
•Cast a Facebook photo album: Login to Facebook in Microsoft Edge and click on the first photo in one of your photo albums to cast. Click on the "…" menu and the top left, and select "Cast media to device" and select the Miracast or DLNA device you want to cast to. Navigate through your photo album by clicking on the forward and backward buttons.
•Cast your music from Pandora: Login to Pandora in Microsoft Edge to get to your music and click on the "…" menu and the top left, and select "Cast media to device" and select the Miracast or DLNA device you want to cast to.

Media Casting in Microsoft Edge: You can now use Microsoft Edge to cast video, picture, and audio content from your browser to any Miracast and DLNA enabled device on your network.
We’ve got a few scenarios for you to try out:
