Zeptolab announced Pudding Monsters
After the success of its casual game "Cut the Rope," developer Zeptolab is unleashing its next game: "Pudding Monsters."
The new game is scheduled to launch in about two weeks after Zeptolab announced it at LeWeb in Paris, TechCrunch reported.
"Pudding Monsters is all about getting pieces of pudding to stick together. Unlike the physics-based puzzler Cut the Rope that made players focus on getting their timing just right, Pudding Monsters is an even more casual game and doesn’t focus on physics. Instead, it’s a more basic puzzle game where players have to move pieces of pudding around a board, but unless they hit an object or another piece of pudding, the pieces will fall off the board and the game is over," it said.
Other than that, however, TechCrunch said the team behind the game remains relatively tight-lipped about the gameplay.
It noted numerous game elements like pudding pieces that are asleep and wake up when you touch them. These are to keep gamers occupied and interested.
"Pudding Monsters" the first game for Zeptolab since "Cut the Rope." Available on Dec 20, 2012
"Cut the Rope," like Rovio's "Angry Birds," has become a success outside the video game arena, with Zeptolab having licensed plush toys, comic books and other merchandise based on Om Nom, the game’s main character.
Zeptolab’s CEO Misha Lyalin said merchandising is a major source of revenue for the company and he expects this to continue with the new "Pudding Monsters" franchise.
Presently, Zeptolab has 50 employees and is seeing very strong growth in China and other Asian countries, TechCrunch said
You can check any update if the app is available for your gadgets on their site.
